EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - ARTESIA MAINSTREET
Join us downtown this Saturday, July 20 for National Day of the Cowboy! This all-day event includes the Bennie’s 72nd Anniversary Sale, activities at the Ocotillo & Library, and sales with other downtown merchants and restaurants.
Here’s a list of additional things going on downtown this week:
Ocotillo Performing Arts Center:
Tuesdays at 9:00am and Thursdays at 5:15pm: Sattva Southwest Yoga at the 510 Gallery. Cost is $10 ($5 for members)
Tuesday, July 16 @ 10am: Kid’s Drop-in Art Class, bring the kids for a fun craft at the Ocotillo every Tuesday through July 16. This week’s craft is art using food! Cost is $10 and includes all supplies.
Thursday, July 18 @ 8pm: Free movie in the Heritage Walkway! This week’s movie is Barefoot in the Park. Don’t forget your chair!
Artesia Public Library: Join the Library every week for their Summer Reading Program Events. All library events are free and open to the public.
Movie Mondays at 1pm: Watch a movie and make a craft. Bring your own snacks, blanket & pillow. All craft supplies provided.
Tues, July 16 @ 10am: Community Story Time featuring stories about bats and the night sky with Carlsbad Caverns.
Wednesday STEAM Lab @ 10-2pm: Drop in for this week’s STEAM Lab and build items with recyclable materials.
Thurs, July 18 @ 1pm: Pizza & Stories presented by Pizza Hut
Friday LEGO Lab @ 10am-2pm: Drop in and see what you can create in the LEGO lab. Follow along with the weekly building challenge.
Thursday, July 18 @ 5pm: Star-Crafty – make LED embroidered constellations and sun pendants *Must register, supplies are limited.
