AMS began as a grassroots effort in 1997 to revitalize the appearance and spirit downtown Artesia and was incorporated on November 24, 1997.

Mission

Artesia MainStreet, Inc. was organized exclusively to encourage, foster and stimulate the preservation and economic development of historic downtown Artesia

Vision

We envision Artesia Main Street as an economically active and energetic historic downtown where, because of its attractive, clean, shaded, pedestrian-friendly, small-town atmosphere, people will want to live, visit, shop and work.

  • Infographic highlighting key statistics and accomplishments from the 2023 Artesia Mainstreet event, including 20,000 attendees, 456 volunteer hours, $12,289.20 value at $26.95 per hour, four new murals and mural restoration, $6,000 awarded to entrepreneurs, and $13,402 awarded to businesses for facade improvements.
  • 2024 Artesia Mainstreet Year in Review infographic listing 23,000 event attendees, 437 volunteer hours, $14,635.13 value at $33.49 per hour, 3 new public art murals and musical playground installation, funding for façade improvement grant requests, and $50,000 revenue from vendor sales at events hosted by Artesia MainStreet.
